- (A) 錯誤。
- (A) 正確。
- **(A) 錯誤。**憲法第 8 條保障人民身體自由,其適用不以組織法上形式警察所為的處分為限。釋字第 588 號認為,管收既屬拘禁,不論執行機關是否為形式警察,都受憲法第 8 條保障;

Everyone in the meeting was startled when they heard this ____ sound of a chair falling on the floor.
先看空格修飾名詞 sound(聲音),再從後面的 a chair falling on the floor(椅子倒在地上)判斷聲音的情境。

Grandma has been suffering from ____ back pain for many years.
- (A) chronic:正確。 意為「慢性的、長期的」;chronic back pain 即「慢性背痛」,符合 for many years 的時間線索。
At least a third of all Americans are battling obesity, and fast food is a leading ____.
the accumulation of wealth(財富累積)。

先看空格後的結構:have the ____ that ...,表示「抱持……
- (A) mentality:
have the mentality that ...

- (A) dwelling:
David’s colleagues think highly of him because he always takes the ____ in doing jobs and helping out.
The ____ of the old stone bridge has withstood centuries of weather and traffic.

Population growth may lead to geographic expansion of a society, military conflicts, and the ____ of cultures.
the intermingling of cultures
The evidence linking the suspect to the crime was ____ and lacked substantial proof.
The evidence linking the suspect to the crime

Facing decreasing numbers of incoming students, quite a few universities have turned their ____ teaching positions into contract-based or part-time positions.
關鍵線索是「Facing decreasing numbers of incoming students」(面臨新生人數減少)以及「turned their ____ teaching positions into contract-based or part-time positions」(將原有的教職改為約聘或兼任職位)。

先看主詞 The aroma(香氣)和地點 in the kitchen,再利用後半句 tempting everyone to indulge 判斷語意:香氣必須還在,才能持續引誘大家。
The aroma lingered in the kitchen

From a business perspective, labor issues can disrupt operations, damage reputation, and incur significant financial costs like legal fees and lost productivity. Moreover, labor ____ can break relationships between employers and employees, eroding trust and cooperation, which are essential for a productive work environment. At a societal level, ____ labor issues can contribute to widening inequalities, social unrest, and economic instability. All the above underscore the importance of fair labor practices between employers and laborers.
- 原句為:「Moreover, labor ____ can break relationships between employers and employees, eroding trust and cooperation, which are essential for a productive work environment.」
(Sentiment Analysis):
- (A) force:錯誤。

At a societal level, ____ labor issues can contribute to widening inequalities, social unrest, and economic instability. All the above underscore the importance of fair labor practices between employers and laborers.
- ____ labor issues can contribute to widening inequalities, social unrest, and economic instability.

While “Great Pacific Garbage Patch” is a term often used by the media, it does not paint an accurate picture of the marine debris problem in the North Pacific Ocean. Marine debris concentrates in various regions of the North Pacific, not just in one area. The exact size, content, and location of the “garbage patches” are difficult to accurately predict. The name “Pacific Garbage Patch” is not visible with satellite or aerial photographs. While higher concentrations of litter items can be found in this area, much of the debris is actually small pieces of floating plastic that are not immediately evident to the naked eye.
The entire Great Pacific Garbage Patch is bounded by the North Pacific Subtropical Gyre. The circular motion of the gyre draws debris into this stable center, where it becomes trapped. While many different types of trash enter the ocean, plastics make up the majority of marine debris for two reasons. First, plastic’s durability, low cost, and malleability mean that it’s being used in more and more consumer and industrial products. Second, plastic goods do not biodegrade but instead, break down into smaller pieces. It is possible to sail through “garbage patch” areas in the Pacific and see very little or no debris on the water’s surface. Debris found in any region of the ocean can easily be ingested by marine species causing choking, starvation, and other impairments.
Cleaning up marine debris is not as easy as it sounds. Many microplastics are the same size as small sea animals, so nets designed to scoop up trash would catch these creatures as well. Even if we could design nets that would just catch garbage, the size of the oceans makes this job far too time-consuming to consider. Besides, it is not likely that any country will pay the expensive bill.
- What is the main idea of this passage?
- (A) The bio-diversity of Pacific Ocean.(太平洋的生物多樣性) 錯誤。

- Which of the following is closest in meaning to “impairments”?

- According to the passage, which of the following statements is true?
- (A) 錯誤。

- According to the passage, why do plastics end up being the cause of Great Pacific Garbage Patch?
- (A) They are durable and malleable.
- (B) They biodegrade in a short time.
